Title:  Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Services Manager

Location:  Northern, NJ (Bergen County)

Contract – Duration – 12 Months

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 5 to 7 years of IT and business work experience including managing large-scaled IT infrastructure and support functions, risk management activities including IT risk management planning and testing experience, process re-engineering or improvement.
  • At least 2-5 years’ experience with Customer Interfacing from a Business Continuity perspective. 

 

Description:

  • Responsible for risk management process throughout the implementation and integration of risk management procedures across the enterprise, based on a thorough understanding of key IT services that must be maintained to reduce financial loss and critical customer service capability.
  • Ensure management and efficient assessment of third parties information security risk in accordance with defined risk management processes.
  • Develop request process to manage assessment requests and respond to assessments in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Ensure monitoring and testing of business continuance and disaster recovery procedures, ensures response to system failures, and is proactive in building processes to minimize/eliminate downtime.
  • Develops service level risk management agreements with the business and with vendors.
  • Ensure the ongoing management of the end user security and privacy awareness and training program in accordance with established processes.
  • May manage or participate in urgent issues or security related inquiries from business groups.

The essential functions of this role are:

  • Refines third party security assessment process
  • Conducts third party security assessments in accordance with established process and SLAs
  • Develops and maintains disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Conducts and validates testing and documentation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Addresses and documents findings from internal audits and issues identified during the conduct of DR/BC testing.
  • Manages end user security & privacy awareness and training program
  • Refines training program to align with desired outcomes
  • Consults with business leaders and IT project teams as needed.
  • Works on other information security projects on an as-needed basis.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of IT and business work experience including managing large-scaled IT infrastructure and support functions, risk management activities including IT risk management planning and testing experience, process re-engineering or improvement.
  • At least 2-5 years’ experience with Customer Interfacing from a Business Continuity perspective.
  • Mastery of IT security & privacy risk management concepts.
  • Solid understanding of IT security concepts
  • Security certifications a plus
